“Reaching our community with the love of God so they can know and devote themselves to Him.”
Our purpose is to be in accord with God’s mission and with His church.
We know that God has always sent men to reconcile humanity to Himself, so they could become His people and worship Him. (Genesis 12:1-3, Exodus 2:23, 3:9-10, 19:5, Isaiah 61:1, Malachi 3:1).
In the last days, God has sent His Son as a mediator to reconcile His people and humanity with Him. It was through God’s love that made Him do this great sacrifice for all (John 3:16). The church belongs to Jesus (Matthew 16:18). Jesus, the Son of God, chose and trained simple and common men (Mark 3:13-18) as the first leaders of the church. They were commanded to preach the gospel and make disciples of all the nations, until the end of the age (Matthew 28:18-20). The church is the agent in which growth and formation will take place for the body, while Jesus is the head (Colossians 1:18, Acts 1:8, 2:42-47).
The first disciples continued the commandment that Jesus had given them. They took the good news to other people and were making disciples for God. These teachings would take place in homes (Acts 2:42, 4:34, 5:42), and also in the temple to pray. The first church demonstrated God’s love, the disciples taught the Word, and the church won favor with the community, winning thousands for Jesus.
These fundamentals help us as a church to follow the mission of God, with the purpose to redeem mankind. That is why,
Our mission is to reach our community with the love of God, through the gospel of our Lord Jesus, so people can know and devote themselves to Him. (John 3:16, Romans 1:16, Galatians 2:20)
